This has been in the works for a long time, but I’m so cautious by nature that I did not want to make an announcement until I was 100% certain it would happen.
Mike Holmes, the Halifax cartoonist, probably best known for the True Story feature in The Coast, has done illustrations for Roll Up the Rim. I just got the images today, and they are great!
Marnie Woodrow, who edited the manuscript, recommended I consider illustration, especially in a couple of key places, for reasons you will appreciate when you read the book. I thought her recommendation was dead on, and contacted Mike through the interweb.
Mike has already forwarded the images to the layout designer.
Things happen so slowly in this process, until suddenly they happen so fast!
